Botany
Also known as Chinese Cassia or Chinese Cinnamon, Cinnamomum Cassia is widely harvested in the areas of Southern and Eastern Asia. Including its buds, every part of this plant can be used as string spices. The tree grows up to the height of 10 to 15 m.
Overview of Cassia Oil
The oil is extracted from the matured barks of Cassia via steam distillation method. It contains Hydroxychalcone and Cinnamaldehyde chemicals which help in stimulating blood sugar and diabetes level. The oil may vary from reddish brown to pale yellow along with a pungent aroma.
