The neem tree belongs to the family Meliaceae and grows to a height of 15-20m. This is an evergreen plant that may rarely grow up to a height of 35-40m. During drought, the tree may shed its entire leaves. The branches of the plant are wide-spreading in nature and may attain a diameter of 20-25m.
