Botany

Peppermint is perennial and herbaceous rhizomatous plant that grows in shaded and moist locations. It is a hybrid of two mint plants namely water-mint and spearmint. The plant consists of smooth stem and the fibrous roots are flashy. Leaves of the plant are dark green coloured and have toothed margins. Flowers are light purple in colour and small in size.
